Course Objectives

By the end of this advanced program, participants will be able to:

  • Conduct industry needs analyses to inform the development of new training initiatives.

  • Design and construct complete Competency-Based Training programs and learning architectures.

  • Develop, write, and validate customized Competency Standards (CS) and Curriculum Guides.

  • Engineer complex, evidence-based assessment tools and manage assessment validation panels.

  • Mentor, evaluate, and coordinate teams of trainers and assessors to ensure instructional excellence.

  • Implement and manage Quality Assurance (QA) frameworks within a TVET institution.

 

Assessment Structure

  • Project-Based Assessment (50%): A comprehensive portfolio requiring the candidate to design a full training program, including drafted competency standards and a validated suite of assessment tools for a specific occupation.

  • Practical Demonstration (30%): Facilitating a mentoring session with a junior trainer and leading an assessment validation meeting.

  • Knowledge Evaluation (20%): Advanced theoretical examination on TVET policy, curriculum design principles, and quality assurance frameworks.

Prerequisites

  • Successful completion of CBT&A Level 4 (National Certificate IV).

  • Significant demonstrable experience in a TVET instructional, supervisory, or technical consulting role.
